Power Seat Position is not Memorized [06/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL OPERATION 
    1. Check that each function of the power seat operates normally by using the front power seat switch LH.

      Refer to OPERATION CHECK [06/2015 - ]

      OK

      Each function of the power seat operates normally using the front power seat switch LH.

      Result

      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    GO TO PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [06/2015 - ]

  2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (SEAT MEMORY SWITCH LH) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Mirror L / Data List.
    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

      Body Electrical > Mirror L > Data List

  3. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (BUZZER) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Driver Seat / Active Test.
    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

      Body Electrical > Driver Seat > Active Test

      Buzzer Buzzer operation OFF/ON -

    REPLACE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2015 - 11/2018]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - ]

  4. REPLACE OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY (DRIVER DOOR) 
    1. Temporarily replace the outer mirror control ECU assembly (driver door) with a new or known good one.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2015 - ]

      Result

  5. CHECK SEAT POSITION MEMORY AND RESTORING FUNCTION 
    1. Check that the seat position memory and restoring function.

      Refer to OPERATION CHECK [06/2015 - ]

  6. REPLACE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH 
    1. Temporarily replace the front power seat switch LH with a new or known good one.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2015 - 11/2018] , or refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - ]

  7. CHECK SEAT POSITION MEMORY AND RESTORING FUNCTION 
    1. Check that the seat position memory and restoring function.

      Refer to OPERATION CHECK [06/2015 - ]

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2015 - 11/2018]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - ] 

  8. INSPECT SEAT MEMORY SWITCH LH 
    1. Remove the seat memory switch LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2015 - ]

    2. Inspect the seat memory switch LH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [06/2015 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to

    Result:

    REPLACE SEAT MEMORY SWITCH LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2015 - ]

  9. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY (DRIVER DOOR) - SEAT MEMORY SWITCH LH - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the L10 outer mirror control ECU assembly (driver door) connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L10-1 (MM) - N2-8 (MRY) Always Below 1 Ω
      L10-1 (MM) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      N2-8 (MRY) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L10-2 (M1) - N2-4 (M1) Always Below 1 Ω
      L10-2 (M1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      N2-4 (M1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L10-3 (M2) - N2-3 (M2) Always Below 1 Ω
      L10-3 (M2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      N2-3 (M2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result
