DTC B2650: Slide Sensor Malfunction [06/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2015 - ]

      Body Electrical > Driver Seat > Clear DTCs 

      Result

      Proceed to
      NEXT

    Result: 

    NEXT

  2. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2015 - ]

      Body Electrical > Driver Seat > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      DTC B2650 is not output.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [06/2015 - 11/2018]  , or refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [11/2018 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG

  3. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (SEAT SLIDE OPERATION) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Driver Seat / Active Test.
    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the Techstream.

      Body Electrical > Driver Seat > Active Test

  4. CHECK POWER SEAT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (SLIDE MOTOR CIRCUIT) 
    1. Disconnect the slide motor (front seat adjuster assembly LH) connector.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Slide Motor (Front Seat Adjuster Assembly LH))
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      a8-2 (O/P) - a8-3 (GND) Slide switch on 4.8 to 5.1 V

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

  5. CHECK SLIDE MOTOR (FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH) 
    1. Reconnect the slide motor (front seat adjuster assembly LH) connector.

      *a Component with harness connected
      (Slide Motor (Front Seat Adjuster Assembly LH)
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      a8-2 - Body ground Slide motor operating 4.5 to 4.8 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2015 - 11/2018]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE SLIDE MOTOR (FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH). Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [06/2015 - ] 

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH - SLIDE MOTOR (FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH)) 
    1. Disconnect the a10 front power seat switch LH connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      a10-5 (SSRS) - a8-2 (O/P) Always Below 1 Ω
      a10-5 (SSRS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      a8-2 (O/P) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      a10-1 (SGND) - a8-3 (GND) Always Below 1 Ω
      a10-1 (SGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      a8-3 (GND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2015 - 11/2018]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

  7. INSPECT SLIDE MOTOR (FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH) 
    1. Remove the front seat adjuster assembly LH.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [06/2015 - ]

    2. Inspect the front seat adjuster assembly LH (slide motor).

      Refer to INSPECTION [06/2015 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE SLIDE MOTOR (FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH). Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [06/2015 - ] 

    Result: 

    OK

  8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH - SLIDE MOTOR (FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH)) 
    1. Disconnect the a9 front power seat switch LH connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      a9-3 (SLD+) - a8-4 (FWD) Always Below 1 Ω
      a9-3 (SLD+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      a8-4 (FWD) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      a9-4 (SLD-) - a8-1 (BACK) Always Below 1 Ω
      a9-4 (SLD-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      a8-1 (BACK) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2015 - 11/2018]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - ]
