Luggage Compartment Door Courtesy Switch Circuit [06/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (LUGGAGE COURTESY SW) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.
    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Data List

      Luggage Courtesy SW Luggage compartment door courtesy switch signal ON or OFF ON: Luggage compartment door open
      OFF: Luggage compartment door closed

      Normal conditions listed above are displayed.

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [06/2015 - ]

    NG

  2. INSPECT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the luggage compartment door lock assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2015 - ]

    2. Inspect the luggage compartment door courtesy switch built into the luggage compartment door lock assembly.

      Refer to INSPECTION [06/2015 - ]

      OK

      Luggage compartment door lock assembly is normal.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2015 - ] 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the 4D instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P27-3 (D+) - 4D-16 Always Below 1 Ω
      P27-3 (D+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      P27-2 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2015 - 11/2018] , or refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - ]

    2. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2015 - 11/2018] , or refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - ]

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      (Instrument Panel Junction Block Assembly)

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      4D-16 - MB-4 (LGCY) Always Below 1 Ω

    Result:

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2015 - 11/2018]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - ]

    NG 

    REPLACE INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2015 - 11/2018]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - ]
