DTC B1585: USB Device Malfunction [06/2015 - 01/2018]: Procedure

1. Disconnect the USB device or "iPod" from the No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly.
2. Turn the power switch off.

   HINT: 

   When this DTC has been stored, it is necessary to turn the power switch to off make it possible for the vehicle to recognize a new device when it is connected.

3. Turn the power switch on (ACC).
4. Connect a known good USB device or "iPod" to the No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly.

   HINT: 

   • If the malfunction occurred when a USB device was in use, use another USB device for the inspection. If the malfunction occurred when an "iPod" was in use, use another "iPod" for the inspection.
   • Refer to System Description for compatible formats and versions.

1. Clear the DTCs.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2015 - 01/2018]

   Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs 

2. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

   Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

   OK

   No DTCs are output.

   Result

   Proceed to

USB DEVICE FORMAT WAS INCOMPATIBLE, "iPod" VERSION WAS INCOMPATIBLE, OR USB DEVICE OR "iPod" WAS DEFECTIVE

REPLACE NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2015 - 01/2018]
