DTC B1570: Manual (SOS) Switch Red Indicator Malfunction [06/2015 - 01/2018]: Procedure
- CHECK DTC
- Turn the power switch off.
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG) and wait for 10 seconds.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Perform "Health Check" and check for current DTCs.
Refer to HEALTH CHECK [06/2015 - 01/2018]

- INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (RED INDICATOR)
- Remove the map light assembly.
Refer to REMOVAL [06/2015 - ]
- Connect 2 dry-cell batteries (1.5 V each) in series.
- Connect the positive (+) lead to terminal 6 (IND1) and the negative (-) lead to terminal 9 (GND3) of the map light assembly connector.
- Check if the illumination for the manual (SOS) switch red indicator comes on.
OK
Red indicator comes on.

- Remove the map light assembly.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DCM [TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER] - MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY)
- Disconnect the G55 DCM (Telematics Transceiver) connector.
- Disconnect the W8 and W9 map light assembly connectors.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance

- Do not swap the DCM (Telematics Transceiver) with one from another vehicle.

- Remove the map light assembly but do not disconnect the connectors.

(Map Light Assembly) - Connect the positive lead of a voltmeter to terminal W9-4 (IND1), and the negative lead to terminal W8-32 (GND3).
- Measure the voltage.
Standard
1.0 to 8.5 V for 2 seconds after the power switch is turned on (IG).
0 V when the power switch is off.

- Remove the DCM (Telematics Transceiver) but do not disconnect the connectors.

(DCM (Telematics Transceiver)) - Connect the positive lead of a voltmeter to terminal G55-11 (IND1), and the negative lead to body ground.
- Measure the voltage.
Standard
1.0 to 8.5 V for 2 seconds after the power switch is turned on (IG).
0 V when the power switch is off.
