DTC B2323: Rear Door RH ECU Communication Stop [06/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2015 - ]

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Clear DTCs

  2. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2015 - ]

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTC B2323 is not output A
      DTC B2323 is output B

    Result: 

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [06/2015 - 11/2018]  , or refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [11/2018 - ] 

    Result:

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) - REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH) 
    1. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2015 - 11/2018] , or refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - ]

    2. Disconnect the M1 rear power window regulator motor assembly RH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      MB-16 (LIN2) - M1-9 (LIN) Always Below 1 Ω
      MB-16 (LIN2) or M1-9 (LIN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH - POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)

    *a Front view of wire harness connector
    (to Rear Power Window Regulator Motor Assembly RH)
    1. Disconnect the rear power window regulator motor assembly RH connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M1-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      M1-2 (B) - Body ground Power switch off 11 to 14 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  5. REPLACE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Temporarily replace the rear power window regulator motor assembly RH with a new or normally functioning one.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2015 - 11/2018] , or refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - ]

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2015 - ]

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Clear DTCs 

      Result

      Proceed to
      NEXT

  6. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2015 - ]

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      DTC B2323 is not output A
      DTC B2323 is output B

    Result: 

    END (REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH WAS DEFECTIVE) 

    Result: 

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2015 - 11/2018]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - ] 

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY - REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH) 
    1. Disconnect the 4B instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the M1 rear power window regulator motor assembly RH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      4B-21 - M1-9 (LIN) Always Below 1 Ω
      4B-21 or M1-9 (LIN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2015 - 11/2018]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
