Inspection [12/2013 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT DIFFERENTIAL LOCK SWITCH 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *a Component without harness connected (Differential Lock Switch)

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      6 (L) - 9 (CPU) Differential lock switch on (Push) Below 1 Ω
      Differential lock switch off (Release) 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the differential lock switch.

    2. Apply battery voltage between the terminals of the switch, and check the illumination condition of the differential lock switch.

      Standard

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 8 (ILL+)
      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 7 (ILL-)
      Illuminates

      *a Component without harness connected (Differential Lock Switch)

      If the result is not as specified, replace the differential lock switch.
