Installation [12/2013 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD 
    1. Install the wire harness clamp bracket to the intake manifold with the bolt.
    2. Connect the 2 vacuum hoses and check that the No. 1 check valve is installed as shown in the illustration.

    3. Check the 4 tumble control valves (TCV).
      NOTE:

      The 4 tumble control valves (TCV) may be damaged if they are not closed before installing the intake manifold.

      HINT: 

      Connect the battery to the terminals of the intake air control valve actuator to operate the motor and close the 4 tumble control valves (TCV).

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

    4. Install a new intake manifold gasket to the intake manifold.
    5. Temporarily install the intake manifold with the 6 bolts.
    6. Tighten the 6 bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque: 28 N*m (286 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf) 

    7. Connect the intake air control valve actuator connector.

    8. Engage the 2 wire harness clamps.
    9. Connect the wire harness with the bolt.
    10. Install the wire harness clamp bracket to the intake manifold with the bolt.

    11. Connect the sensor wire connector.
    12. Engage the 3 wire harness clamps.
    13. Connect the fuel vapor feed hose to the intake manifold.
    14. Install the 2 wire harness clamp brackets to the intake manifold with the 2 bolts.
  2. INSTALL FUEL DELIVERY PIPE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. CONNECT ENGINE WIRE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. CONNECT FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  5. CONNECT UNION TO VACUUM TUBE HOSE 
    1. Connect the union to vacuum tube hose to the intake manifold and slide the clip to secure it.
  6. CONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE 
    1. Connect the No. 2 ventilation hose to the intake manifold and slide the clip to secure it.
  7. INSTALL VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY (for ACIS) 
    1. Install the vacuum switching valve assembly (for ACIS) to the intake manifold with the bolt.

      Torque: 9.0 N*m (92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf) 

    2. Connect the vacuum switching valve assembly (for ACIS) connector.
    3. Connect the 2 vacuum hoses.
    4. Engage the wire harness clamp.
    5. Connect the union to vacuum tube hose to the vacuum hose clamp.
  8. INSTALL NO. 1 VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY

  9. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [12/2013 - ]

  10. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  11. INSTALL BRAKE BOOSTER VACUUM EJECTOR 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [12/2013 - ]

  12. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [12/2013 - ]

  13. CONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [12/2013 - 11/2016] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2016 - ]

  14. INSPECT FOR FUEL LEAK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
