Installation [12/2013 - 11/2016]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (for Exhaust Side of Bank 2) 
    1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring of the camshaft position sensor.

      *a O-ring
    2. Install the camshaft position sensor to the cylinder head cover sub-assembly LH with the bolt.

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • If the camshaft position sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.
      • Make sure that the O-ring is not cracked or does not move out of place during installation.
    3. Connect the camshaft position sensor connector.
  2. INSTALL CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (for Intake Side of Bank 2) 
    1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring of the camshaft position sensor.

    2. Install the camshaft position sensor to the cylinder head cover sub-assembly LH with the bolt.

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • If the camshaft position sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.
      • Make sure that the O-ring is not cracked or does not move out of place during installation.
    3. Connect the camshaft position sensor connector.
  3. INSTALL CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (for Exhaust Side of Bank 1) 
    1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring of the camshaft position sensor.

    2. Install the camshaft position sensor to the cylinder head cover sub-assembly with the bolt.

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • If the camshaft position sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.
      • Make sure that the O-ring is not cracked or does not move out of place during installation.
    3. Connect the camshaft position sensor connector.
  4. INSTALL CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (for Intake Side of Bank 1) 
    1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring of the camshaft position sensor.

    2. Install the camshaft position sensor to the cylinder head cover sub-assembly with the bolt.

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • If the camshaft position sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.
      • Make sure that the O-ring is not cracked or does not move out of place during installation.
    3. Connect the camshaft position sensor connector.
  5. INSTALL INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [12/2013 - 11/2016]

  6. INSPECT FOR ENGINE OIL LEAK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5
