DTC P1630: Communication Error from VSC to ECM [12/2013 - 11/2016]: Procedure

- CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
- Using the Techstream, check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.
Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [12/2013 - 11/2016]

GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [12/2013 - 11/2016]

- Using the Techstream, check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.
- REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
- Replace the brake actuator assembly.
Refer to REMOVAL [12/2013 - 11/2016]

- Replace the brake actuator assembly.
- CHECK FOR DTCS (DTC P1630)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Clear the DTCs.
- Perform the following to make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.
HINT:
If the detection conditions are not met, the malfunction cannot be detected.
- Drive the vehicle at a speed for which cruise control operation is possible.
- Turn the dynamic radar cruise control system on using the cruise control main switch (ON-OFF button).
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Radar Cruise / Trouble Codes.
- Check for DTCs.
Powertrain > Radar Cruise > Trouble Codes
