Wiper Signal Circuit [12/2013 - 11/2016]: Procedure

- CHECK DRIVING SUPPORT ECU ASSEMBLY (WIP2 VOLTAGE)
- Disconnect the F84 driving support ECU assembly connector.
*a Front view of wire harness connector
(to Driving Support ECU Assembly) - Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition F84-32 (WIP2) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG), windshield wiper switch assembly HI position 11 to 14 V - Turn the engine switch off.
- Reconnect the F84 driving support ECU assembly connector.
Result
Proceed to OK NG

- Disconnect the F84 driving support ECU assembly connector.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DRIVING SUPPORT ECU ASSEMBLY - WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY)
- Disconnect the F84 driving support ECU assembly connector.
- Disconnect the F64 windshield wiper switch assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance (Check for Open)
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition F84-32 (WIP2) - F64-4 (+2) Always Below 1 Ω Standard Resistance (Check for Short)
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition F84-32 (WIP2) or F64-4 (+2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher - Reconnect the F64 windshield wiper switch assembly connector.
- Reconnect the F84 driving support ECU assembly connector.
