Inspection [12/2013 - 11/2016]: Procedure

- INSPECT PCV VALVE (VENTILATION VALVE SUB-ASSEMBLY)
- Install a clean hose to the PCV valve (ventilation valve sub-assembly).
- Check PCV valve (ventilation valve sub-assembly) operation.
- Blow air into the ventilation case side, and check that air passes through easily.
*a Hose Cylinder Head Cover LH Sub-assembly Side Air WARNING:Do not suck air through the valve.
Petroleum substances inside the valve are hazardous to your health.
If the result is not as specified, replace the PCV valve (ventilation valve sub-assembly).
- Blow air into the intake air surge tank side, and check that air passes through with difficulty.
*a Hose Intake Air Surge Tank Side Air WARNING:Do not suck air through the valve.
Petroleum substances inside the valve are hazardous to your health.
If the result is not as specified, replace the PCV valve (ventilation valve sub-assembly).
- Blow air into the ventilation case side, and check that air passes through easily.
- Remove the hose from the PCV valve (ventilation valve sub-assembly).
