DTC C1210: Zero Point Calibration of Yaw Rate Sensor Undone; DTC C1336: Zero Point Calibration of Acceleration Sensor Undone [11/2016 - ]: Procedure

  1. PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION OF YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR
    1. Perform zero point calibration of the yaw rate and acceleration sensor.

      Refer to CALIBRATION [11/2016 - ]

      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Utility

      Tester Display
      Reset Memory

      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Utility

      Tester Display
      Test Mode

    NEXT

    Go to next step

  2. PERFORM TEST MODE INSPECTION (SIGNAL CHECK)
    1. Using the Techstream, perform a Test Mode (signal check) inspection sensor check and check that all Test Mode (signal check) inspection items change from incomplete to complete.

Refer to TEST MODE PROCEDURE [11/2016 - ]

      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Utility

      Tester Display
      Signal Check

      OK

All Test Mode (signal check) inspection items change from incomplete to complete

    Result:

    OK

    END

    Result:

    NG

    Go to next step

  3. CHECK AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION
    1. Turn the ignition switch off.
    2. Check that the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) has been installed properly.

      Refer to INSTALLATION [11/2016 - ]

      OK

The sensor should be tightened to the specified torque.

The sensor should not be installed in a tilted position.

    Result:

    NG

    INSTALL AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY CORRECTLY.

    Refer to INSTALLATION [11/2016 - ]

    Result:

    OK

    Go to next step

  4. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR)
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Select the Data List using the Techstream.

Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [11/2016 - ]

      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Data List

Tester Display Measurement Item Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
      Deceleration Sensor Acceleration sensor reading Min.: -18.327 m/s2 , Max.: 18.183 m/s2 - During deceleration/acceleration: Changes continuously
      Deceleration Sensor2 Acceleration sensor 2 reading Min.: -18.327 m/s2 , Max.: 18.183 m/s2 - During deceleration/acceleration: Changes continuously

      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Data List

      Tester Display
      Deceleration Sensor
      Deceleration Sensor2
      Yaw Rate Sensor
    4. Check the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) output value displayed on the Techstream.

      OK

The yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) output value is normal.

      NOTE:

Check the yaw rate and acceleration sensor signal after replacement.

Refer to TEST MODE PROCEDURE [11/2016 - ]

      HINT:

If troubleshooting has been carried out according to Problem Symptoms Table, refer back to the table and proceed to the next step before replacing parts.

Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [11/2016 - ]

    Result:

    OK

    REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY.

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2016 - ]
