Removal [12/2013 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws to remove the front wiper arm head cap.

      *a Protective Tape

      HINT: 

      • Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
      • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
  2. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the nut and front wiper arm and blade assembly LH.

  3. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the nut and front wiper arm and blade assembly RH.

  4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL LH 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front fender to cowl side seal LH.

  5. REMOVE FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  6. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 clips.

    2. Disengage the 6 claws and 3 guides as shown in the illustration.

    3. Disengage the 8 guides and remove the cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

  7. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts.

      *a Motor Grommet
    3. Disengage the motor grommet as shown in the illustration and remove the windshield wiper motor and link assembly.
      NOTE:

      Be careful not to damage the windshield when removing the windshield wiper motor and link assembly.

  8. REMOVE FRONT WIPER CRANK SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a screwdriver, separate the windshield wiper link No. 1 rod from the pivot of the front wiper crank sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

      *a Protective Tape
      *b Pivot of the front wiper crank sub-assembly

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Remove the nut and front wiper crank sub-assembly.

  9. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 bolts and windshield wiper motor assembly from the windshield wiper link assembly.
