Inspection [12/2013 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT BACK WINDOW LOCK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check operation of the back window lock motor.
      1. Move the back window lock to the lock position.

        *a Component without harness connected
        (Back Window Lock Assembly)        		 *b Unlatched
        *c Locked - -
      2. Apply battery voltage to the back window lock motor and check the operation of the back window lock motor.

        OK

        Connection Result
        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 3
        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2        		 Unlatches

        If the result is not as specified, replace the back window lock assembly.

    2. Check operation of the courtesy switch.
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        *a Component without harness connected
        (Back Window Lock Assembly)        		 *b Unlatched
        *c Locked - -

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        1 - 2 Locked 10 kΩ or higher
        1 - 2 Unlatched Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the back window lock assembly.
