Operation Check [12/2013 - 11/2016]

  1. CHECK FRONT SEAT HEATER 
    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    2. Turn the seat heater switch (heater position*1) on and check that the indicator illuminates and the surface of the front seat warms up.
    3. Check that the front seat surface temperature changes according to the operation of the seat heater switch (heater position*1) as follows: Low → High*1 or 1 (Lo) → 2 (Mid) → 3 (Hi)*2.
      • *1: w/o Climate Control Seat System
      • *2: w/ Climate Control Seat System
  2. CHECK REAR SEAT HEATER (w/ Rear Seat Heater) 
    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    2. Turn the seat heater switch (No. 2 air conditioning control assembly) on and check that the indicator illuminates and the surface of the rear seat warms up.
    3. Check that the rear seat surface temperature changes according to the operation of the seat heater switch (No. 2 air conditioning control assembly) as follows: LO → HI.
  3. CHECK THERMOSTAT IN FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the front seat cushion heater assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2013 - ]

    2. Remove the front seatback heater assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2013 - ]

    3. Connect the C front seat cushion heater assembly LH connector and front seatback heater assembly LH connector.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Front Seat Cushion Heater Assembly LH)
      *b Component without harness connected
      (Front Seatback Heater Assembly LH)
    4. Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the front seat heater as shown in the table below.
      NOTE:

      To prevent the front seat heater from overheating, be sure to disconnect the battery from the front seat heater immediately after this inspection is completed.

      OK

      Battery Connection Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → Terminal B-1 Front seat heater temperature 46 to 54°C (114 to 129°F)
      Battery negative (-) → Terminal B-4
  4. CHECK THERMOSTAT IN FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the front seat cushion heater assembly RH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2013 - ]

    2. Remove the front seatback heater assembly RH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2013 - ]

    3. Connect the E front seat cushion heater assembly RH connector and front seatback heater assembly RH connector.

      *b Component without harness connected
      (Front Seatback Heater Assembly RH)
    4. Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the front seat heater as shown in the table below.
      NOTE:

      To prevent the front seat heater from overheating, be sure to disconnect the battery from the front seat heater immediately after this inspection is completed.

      OK

      Battery Connection Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → Terminal D-1 Front seat heater temperature 46 to 54°C (114 to 129°F)
      Battery negative (-) → Terminal D-4
  5. CHECK THERMOSTAT IN SEAT HEATER ASSEMBLY (REAR LH SIDE SEAT CUSHION) (w/ Rear Seat Heater) 
    1. Remove the seat heater assembly (rear LH side seat cushion).

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2013 - 11/2016]

    2. Remove the seat heater assembly (rear LH side seatback).

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2013 - 11/2016]

    3. Connect the G seat heater assembly (rear LH side seat cushion) connector and seat heater assembly (rear LH side seatback) connector.

      *a Component without harness connected

      (Seat Heater Assembly (Rear LH Side Seatback)
    4. Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the rear seat heater as shown in the table below.
      NOTE:

      To prevent the rear seat heater from overheating, be sure to disconnect the battery from the rear seat heater immediately after this inspection is completed.

      OK

      Battery Connection Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → Terminal F-1 Rear seat heater temperature 46 to 54°C (114 to 129°F)
      Battery negative (-) → Terminal F-4
  6. CHECK THERMOSTAT IN SEAT HEATER ASSEMBLY (REAR RH SIDE SEAT CUSHION) (w/ Rear Seat Heater) 
    1. Remove the seat heater assembly (rear RH side seat cushion).

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2013 - 11/2016]

    2. Remove the seat heater assembly (rear RH side seatback).

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2013 - 11/2016]

    3. Connect the I seat heater assembly (rear RH side seat cushion) connector and seat heater assembly (rear RH side seatback) connector.
