Installation [12/2013 - 11/2016]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY GASKET 
    1. Install a new throttle body gasket to the intake air surge tank with the protrusion of the throttle body gasket oriented as shown in the illustration.

  2. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the throttle body with motor assembly and wire harness clamp bracket to the intake air surge tank with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      If the throttle body with motor assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

    2. Connect the No. 2 water by-pass hose and No. 3 water by-pass hose to the throttle body with motor assembly and slide the 2 clips to secure them.
    3. Connect the throttle body with motor assembly connector and engage the wire harness clamp.
  3. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE 
    1. Install the air cleaner cap with air cleaner hose to the throttle body with motor assembly.
    2. Engage the 2 air cleaner cap clamps to install the air cleaner cap with air cleaner hose.
    3. Tighten the hose clamp.
    4. Connect the air hose to the air cleaner cap sub-assembly.
    5. Engage the vacuum hose clamp to the No. 1 air cleaner hose.
    6. Connect the No. 2 ventilation hose to the No. 1 air cleaner hose and slide the clip to secure it.
    7. Connect the mass air flow meter sub-assembly connector and engage the wire harness clamp.
  4. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 84

  5. ADD ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  6. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  7. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    NOTE:
    • Be sure to perform this procedure after removing and reinstalling the throttle body with motor assembly or any throttle body with motor assembly components.
    • Perform the following procedure after replacing the throttle body with motor assembly or any throttle body with motor assembly components. The following procedure should also be performed if the throttle body with motor assembly is cleaned.
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3 and clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2013 - 11/2016]

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON without operating the accelerator pedal.
    3. Perform the "Inspection After Repair".

      Refer to INITIALIZATION [12/2013 - 11/2016]

    4. Start the engine and check that the MIL is not illuminated. After the engine is warmed up, check that the idle speed is within the specified range with the A/C switch off.

      Standard Idle Speed

      600 to 700 rpm

      NOTE:
      • Be sure to perform this step with all accessories off.
      • Make sure that the shift lever is in P or N.
    5. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / Throttle Sensor Position.

      Throttle Sensor Position
    6. Fully depress the accelerator pedal and check that the value is 60% or higher.
    7. Perform a road test and confirm that there are no abnormalities.
