Speaker Circuit [12/2013 - 11/2016]: Procedure
- CHECK SPEAKER (OPERATION CHECK)
- Enter the "System Check Mode" screen. Refer to Check Speaker in Operation Check.
Refer to OPERATION CHECK [12/2013 - 11/2015] Refer to OPERATION CHECK [11/2015 - 11/2016]
- Perform the operation check above and determine the speaker that is not operating.

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY - FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY)
- Disconnect the F69 radio and display receiver assembly connector.
- Disconnect the H3 and I3 front No. 1 speaker assembly connectors.
- Disconnect the G1 and G5 front No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.
- Measure the resistance between each of the front No. 2 speaker assemblies and the radio and display receiver assembly to check for an open circuit in the wire harness.

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) - FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY - FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY)
- Disconnect the F69 radio and display receiver assembly connector.
- Disconnect the H3 and I3 front No. 1 speaker assembly connectors.
- Disconnect the G1 and G5 front No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.
- Disconnect the F35 DCM (telematics transceiver) connector.
- Measure the resistance between the radio and display receiver assembly and the DCM (telematics transceiver) to check for an open circuit in the wire harness.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition F69-1 (FR+) - F35-2 (SPI+) Always Below 1 Ω F69-5 (FR-) - F35-3 (SPI-) Always Below 1 Ω - Measure the resistance between the DCM (telematics transceiver) and the front No. 2 speaker assembly RH to check for an open circuit in the wire harness.

- Check that the malfunction disappears when a known good speaker is installed.

HINT:
- Connect all the connectors to the front No. 2 speaker assemblies that were disconnected.
- When there is a possibility that either the right or left front No. 2 speaker assembly is defective, inspect by interchanging the right one with the left one.
- Perform the above inspection on both the LH and RH side.

- Disconnect the F70 radio and display receiver assembly connector.
- Disconnect the K4 and J4 rear speaker assembly connectors.
- Measure the resistance between each of the rear speaker assemblies and the radio and display receiver assembly to check for an open circuit in the wire harness.
