DTC C2198-98: Initialization Switch (for Test Mode DTC) [12/2012 - ]: Procedure

1. Remove the tire pressure warning reset switch.

   Refer to REMOVAL [12/2012 - 08/2016] , or refer to REMOVAL [08/2016 - ]

2. Inspect the tire pressure warning reset switch.

   Refer to INSPECTION [12/2012 - ]

Result: 

NG 

REPLACE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING RESET SWITCH:  REMOVAL [12/2012 - 08/2016]  ,  REMOVAL [08/2016 - ] 

Result: 

OK 

See step  2

1. Disconnect the tire pressure warning reset switch G71 connector and tire pressure warning ECU and receiver M11 connector.
2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   M11-3 (CLSW) - G71-1	Always	Below 1 Ω
   M11-3 (CLSW) or G71-1 - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   G71-2 - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

Result: 

OK 

REPLACE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER:  REMOVAL [12/2012 - ] 

Result: 

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
