DTC P0724: Brake Switch "B" Circuit High [10/2015 - ]: Procedure

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / Primary / Stop Light Switch.

   Powertrain > Engine and ECT > Data List 

   Tester Display
   Stop Light Switch

5. Read the values displayed on the Techstream.

   OK

   Techstream Display	Measurement Item/Range (display)	Normal Condition
   Stop Light Switch	Stop light switch status: ON or OFF	ON: Brake pedal depressed OFF: Brake pedal released

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

OK 

CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS. Refer to  CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS [12/2012 - ]

1. Check the stop light switch installation.

   Refer to ADJUSTMENT [12/2012 - ]

   OK

   Stop light switch is installed correctly.

SECURELY REINSTALL STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to  INSTALLATION [12/2012 - ]

OK

1. Inspect the stop light switch assembly.
   • for Bulb Type Stop Light

     Refer to INSPECTION [10/2015 - ]

   • for LED Type Stop Light

     Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [10/2015 - ]

REPLACE STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2012 - ]

1. Disconnect the ECM connector.

2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage
