Inspection [10/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Inspect the light control switch.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Headlight Dimmer Switch Assembly)
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        G13-20 (A) - G13-15 (EL) Light control switch off*A
        or
        Light control switch DRL off*B        		 10 kΩ or higher
        G13-19 (H) - G13-15 (EL)
        G13-18 (T) - G13-15 (EL)
        G13-20 (A) - G13-15 (EL) Light control switch DRL*A position
        or
        Light control switch AUTO*B position        		 Below 1 Ω
        G13-18 (T) - G13-15 (EL) Light control switch tail position Below 1 Ω
        G13-18 (T) - G13-15 (EL) Light control switch head position Below 1 Ω
        G13-19 (H) - G13-15 (EL)

        *A: w/o Automatic Light Control System

        *B: w/ Automatic Light Control System

        If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight dimmer switch assembly.

    2. Inspect the headlight dimmer switch.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Headlight Dimmer Switch Assembly)
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        G13-14 (HU) - G13-15 (EL) Headlight dimmer switch flash position Below 1 Ω
        G13-17 (HF) - G13-15 (EL)
        G13-14 (HU) - G13-15 (EL) Headlight dimmer switch high position Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight dimmer switch assembly.

    3. Inspect the turn signal light switch.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Headlight Dimmer Switch Assembly)
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        G13-12(TR) - G13-15(EL) Turn signal switch neutral position 10 kΩ or higher
        G13-11(TL) - G13-15(EL)
        G13-13(CR) - G13-15(EL)
        G13-12(TR) - G13-15(EL) Turn signal switch right turn position
        (self cancel condition)        		 Below 1 Ω
        G13-12(TR) - G13-15(EL) Turn signal switch right turn position
        (cancel ratchet operation condition)        		 Below 1 Ω
        G13-12(TR) - G13-13(CR)
        G13-13(CR) - G13-15(EL)
        G13-11(TL) - G13-15(EL) Turn signal switch left turn position
        (self cancel condition)        		 Below 1 Ω
        G13-11(TL) - G13-15(EL) Turn signal switch left turn position
        (cancel ratchet operation condition)        		 Below 1 Ω
        G13-11(TL) - G13-13(CR)
        G13-13(CR) - G13-15(EL)

        HINT: 

        • The self cancel condition indicates when the turn signal switch returns to the neutral position after releasing your hand from the switch (switch is operated within 7°).
        • The cancel ratchet operation condition indicates the condition when the turn signal switch does not return to the neutral position even after releasing your hand (switch operation is 12°).

        If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight dimmer switch assembly.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Headlight Dimmer Switch Assembly)

      Inspect the fog light switch.

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        G13-9 (BFG) - G13-8 (LFG) Front fog light switch off 10 kΩ or higher
        G13-9 (BFG) - G13-8 (LFG) Front fog light switch on Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight dimmer switch assembly.
