Removal [12/2012 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  4. REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE BOX 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2012 - 10/2015] or REMOVAL [10/2015 - ]

  5. REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Move the shift lever to N.
    2. Disconnect the end of the transmission control cable assembly from the shift lever assembly.

    3. Pull out the stopper of the transmission control cable assembly.

      *1 Stopper
      *2 Nut
    4. Rotate the nut of the transmission control cable assembly counterclockwise approximately 180° and, while holding the nut in that position, disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the shift lever assembly.
      NOTE:

      Do not over-rotate the nut as it will come off the internal spring and the transmission control cable assembly will not be reusable.

    5. Remove the nut and disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the control shaft lever.

    6. Remove the clip and disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the control cable bracket.
    7. Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the transmission control cable assembly.

    8. Pull out the transmission control cable assembly to remove it.
