- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SL1 CIRCUIT)
- Disconnect the ECM connector.

(to ECM) - Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition B77-5 (SL1+) - B77-4 (SL1-) 20°C (68°F) 5.0 to 5.6 Ω B77-5 (SL1+) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher B77-4 (SL1-) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher Result

REPLACE ECM. Refer to REMOVAL [12/2012 - ]

- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WIRING HARNESS CONNECTOR - ECM)
- Disconnect the B78 wiring harness connector.
- Disconnect the B77 ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

- INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SL1
- Remove shift solenoid valve SL1.
*1 Shift Solenoid Valve SL1 - Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 - 2 20°C (68°F) 5.0 to 5.6 Ω - Apply 12 V battery voltage to the shift solenoid valve and check that the valve moves and makes an operating noise.

Measurement Condition Specified Condition - Battery positive (+) with a 21 W bulb → Terminal 1
- Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2
