Removal [12/2012 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [12/2012 - ]

    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [12/2012 - ]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [12/2012 - 10/2015] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [10/2015 - 08/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [08/2017 - ]

  4. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [12/2012 - 10/2015] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 [10/2015 - 08/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 [08/2017 - ]

  5. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 [12/2012 - 10/2015] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [10/2015 - 08/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [08/2017 - ]

  6. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [12/2012 - 10/2015] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21 [10/2015 - 08/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21 [08/2017 - ]

  7. REMOVE OUTER LAP BELT ANCHOR COVER 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws to remove the outer lap belt anchor cover.

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  8. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the floor anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly LH.

  9. REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 28 [12/2012 - 10/2015] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 31 [10/2015 - 08/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 31 [08/2017 - ]

  10. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30 [12/2012 - 10/2015] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 33 [10/2015 - 08/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 33 [08/2017 - ]

  11. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the nut and shoulder anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly LH.

    2. Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button in the direction shown by the arrow in the illustration to release the lock, and disconnect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.

      *1 Protective Tape

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    3. Remove the bolt.

    4. Detach the 2 claws to remove the front seat outer belt assembly LH.
  12. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Seat Belt with Selectable Force Limiter) 
    1. Remove the nut and shoulder anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly RH.

    2. Using a screwdriver, pull out the 2 locking buttons in the direction shown by the arrow in the illustration to release the 2 locks and disconnect the pretensioner connector and selectable force limiter connector as shown in the illustration.

      *1 Protective Tape

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    3. Remove the bolt.

    4. Detach the 2 claws to remove the front seat outer belt assembly RH.
  13. REMOVE FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Detach the guide to remove the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assembly.
