DTC B2251: Back Door Closer Switch Malfunction [10/2015 - ]: Procedure

1. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

   Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [10/2015 - ]

   Body Electrical > Back Door > Data List

OK 

REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU:  REMOVAL [10/2015 - ] 

Result: 

NG 

See step  2

1. Remove the back door lock assembly.

   Refer to REMOVAL [10/2015 - ]

2. Inspect the back door lock assembly.

   Refer to INSPECTION [10/2015 - ]

Result: 

NG 

REPLACE BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY:  REMOVAL [10/2015 - ] 

Result: 

OK 

See step  3

1. Disconnect the U26 back door lock assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the U28 multiplex network door ECU connector.
3. Disconnect the 3E instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   U26-4 (CTY) - U28-11 (FUL)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   3E-33 - U28-11 (FUL)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   U26-1 (E) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω
   U26-4 (CTY) or U28-11 (FUL) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   3E-33 or U28-11 (FUL) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

Result: 

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

Result: 

OK

1. Disconnect the U28 multiplex network door ECU connector.
2. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

   Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [10/2015 - ]
