Removal [07/2020 - ]: Procedure
- REMOVE FUEL SUCTION TUBE WITH PUMP AND GAUGE ASSEMBLY
Refer to REMOVAL [07/2020 - ]
- DRAIN FUEL
- REMOVE TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
Refer to REMOVAL [08/2019 - ]
- REMOVE NO. 1 FLOOR UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER LH
- REMOVE NO. 1 FUEL TANK PROTECTOR
- DISCONNECT FUEL TANK VENT HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
- for 2WD:
- Disconnect the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly from the fuel tank solenoid main valve assembly.
Refer to PRECAUTION [12/2018 - ]
- Disconnect the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly from the fuel tank solenoid main valve assembly.
- for AWD:
- for 2WD:
- DISCONNECT FUEL TANK FILLER PIPE ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the fuel tank filler pipe assembly from the fuel tank assembly.
Refer to PRECAUTION [12/2018 - ]
- Disconnect the fuel tank filler pipe assembly from the fuel tank assembly.
- SEPARATE NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY
- DISCONNECT FUEL TANK MAIN TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the fuel tank main tube sub-assembly from the fuel pipe.
*A for 2WD *B for AWD Refer to PRECAUTION [12/2018 - ]
- Disconnect the fuel tank main tube sub-assembly from the fuel pipe.
- REMOVE FUEL TANK ASSEMBLY WARNING:
The fuel tank assembly is very heavy. Be sure to follow the procedure described in the repair information, or the fuel tank assembly may fall off the engine lifter.
- Support the fuel tank assembly using an engine lifter.
HINT:
Using height adjustment attachments and plate lift attachments, keep the fuel tank assembly horizontal.
- Remove the 4 bolts.
- Lower the engine lifter to remove the fuel tank assembly.NOTE:
- Be careful not to drop the fuel tank assembly.
- When removing the fuel tank assembly, tilt it slightly to prevent it from interfering with the surrounding parts.
- Support the fuel tank assembly using an engine lifter.
- REMOVE FUEL TANK MAIN TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE FUEL TANK VENT HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2WD)
- REMOVE NO. 1 EVAPORATION VENT TUBE CLAMP (for AWD)
- REMOVE NO. 1 FUEL TANK PROTECTOR SUB-ASSEMBLY
