DTC P272C-81: Park Pawl Motor Invalid Serial Data Received [11/2015 - 06/2021]: Procedure

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
4. Check if DTCs are output.

   Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Trouble Codes 

   Result

5. Turn the power switch off.

GO TO DTC CHART (HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM). Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [11/2015 - 11/2017]  , or refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [11/2017 - 12/2018]  , or refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [12/2018 - 08/2019]  , or refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [08/2019 - 06/2021]

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Release the brake pedal and turn the power switch on (IG).

   HINT: 

   Do not turn the power switch on (READY).

3. Read the freeze frame data of DTC P272C-81.

   Powertrain > Hybrid Control > DTC (P272C-81) > Freeze Frame Data 

   Tester Display
   BATT Voltage for Transmission Control System

   Result

   The value of BATT Voltage for Transmission Control System is 9 V or more	A

4. Turn the power switch off.

REPLACE AUXILIARY BATTERY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2015 - 12/2018]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [12/2018 - 07/2020]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [07/2020 -]

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
4. Clear the DTCs.

   Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Clear DTCs 

5. Disconnect the Techstream from the DLC3.
6. Turn the power switch off.
7. Leave the vehicle as is for 60 seconds or more.
   NOTE:

   • Do not connect the Techstream.
   • Do not depress brake pedal.
   • Do not open/close any of the doors.

5. Check if DTCs are output.

   Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Trouble Codes

6. Turn the power switch off.
