DTC P3107-11: Lost Communication with Airbag System Control Module Circuit Short to Ground [11/2015 - 08/2019]: Procedure

CHECK DTC OUTPUT (SRS AIRBAG)

Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
Turn the power switch on (IG).
Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / SRS Airbag / Trouble Codes.
Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Trouble Codes

Check for DTCs.

Result

Result	Proceed to
DTCs are not output	A
DTCs are output	B

Turn the power switch off.

Result:

GO TO DTC CHART (AIRBAG SYSTEM). Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [11/2015 - 12/2018] , or refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [12/2018 - 08/2019]

CHECK AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY (CHECK WAVEFORM)

Connect an oscilloscope between the airbag ECU assembly terminals specified in the table below.
Turn the power switch on (READY).

Measure the waveform.

CLEAR DTC

Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
Clear the DTCs.
Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Clear DTCs

Turn the power switch off and wait for 2 minutes or more.

CHECK AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY

Disconnect the F56 airbag ECU assembly connector.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU - AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY)

Disconnect the F3 hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.
Disconnect the F56 airbag ECU assembly connector.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

*a	Front view of wire harness connector (to Hybrid Vehicle Control ECU)
*b	Rear view of wire harness connector (to Airbag ECU Assembly)
