  1. AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM 
    1. When the light control switch is in the AUTO position, the automatic light control system detects ambient light levels and controls the low beam headlights, parking lights, taillights, license plate lights, side marker lights and accessory lights*.

  2. LIGHT AUTO TURN-OFF SYSTEM 
    1. The light auto turn-off system is used to prevent the exterior lights (low beam headlights, high beam headlights, front fog lights*1, taillights, parking lights, license plate lights, side marker lights and accessory lights*2) from being accidentally left on.
      • This system has the following functions.
      Function Outline
      Delay Function The exterior lights automatically turn off after 30 seconds when all of the following conditions are met:
      • The power switch is turned from on (IG) to off.
      • The low beam headlights are on.
      • All doors are closed after any of the doors are opened.
      Door Control Transmitter-linked Function The exterior lights turn off immediately when the delay function is active and the following condition is met:
      • The lock button on the key is pushed after all doors are locked.
      Door Open-linked The exterior lights automatically turn off immediately when all of the following conditions are met:
      • The power switch is turned from on (IG) to off.
      • The taillights are on. (The low beam headlights are off.)
      • The driver door is opened.

  3. DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT SYSTEM 
    1. The daytime running light system is designed to automatically illuminate the daytime running lights (high-intensity low beam headlights) during the daytime to make the vehicle more visible to other vehicles.
      • This system is controlled by the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
      • There are 2 LED type light circuits in headlight. One is for a conventional low beam headlight that is used as the low beam headlights, and the other is for the low-intensity low beam headlight that is used for the DRL system.
      • This system is enabled when the following conditions are met:
        • The power switch is on (READY).
        • The light control switch is in the tail or AUTO position (and the low beam headlights are not turned on via the automatic light control system). (w/ DRL OFF Switch)
        • The light control switch is in the off, tail or AUTO position (and the low beam headlights are not turned on via the automatic light control system). (w/o DRL OFF Switch)
        • The parking brake switch is off.
  4. LANE CHANGE FLASHER CONTROL 
    1. This control is controlled by the combination meter assembly (meter circuit plate).
    2. When moving the headlight dimmer switch assembly (turn signal switch) to the lane change position (it is not necessary to hold the switch) during a lane change, the turn signal light flashes a specified number of times.
    3. While the turn signal light is flashing after the headlight dimmer switch assembly (turn signal switch) is moved to the lane change position (it is not necessary to hold the switch), the turn signal light turns off if the headlight dimmer switch assembly (turn signal switch) is moved in the opposite direction.
