ABS Operates Before Necessary When Braking [08/2021 -]: Procedure

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
3. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Brake/EPB / Utility / Signal Check.
4. Using the Techstream, perform a Dealer Mode (Signal Check) inspection sensor check and check that speed sensor Dealer Mode (Signal Check) inspection items change from incomplete to complete.

   Refer to TEST MODE PROCEDURE [08/2021 -]

   Chassis > Brake/EPB > Utility

   OK

   Speed sensor Dealer Mode (Signal Check) inspection items change from incomplete to complete.

   NOTE:

   • When cleaning the front speed sensor and rear speed sensor (for AWD), make sure to clean the installation hole before installation.
   • Do not use parts cleaner when cleaning the front speed sensor rotor and rear speed sensor rotor (for AWD).

   HINT: 

   The rear speed sensor (for 2WD) and rear speed sensor rotor are incorporated into the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.

   If the rear speed sensor (for 2WD) and rear speed sensor rotor need to be replaced, replace the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.
