Installation [11/2015 - ]: Procedure

1. Install the rear suspension support assembly to the rear shock absorber assembly.

1. Install the rear suspension support stopper to the rear shock absorber assembly.

1. Insert the upper end of the rear shock absorber assembly to the vehicle body.
2. Support the spring seat of the rear axle beam assembly using a jack and wooden block.
3. Jack up the rear axle beam assembly slowly, and provisionally install the rear shock absorber assembly (lower side) with the bolt and nut onto the rear axle beam assembly.
   NOTE:

   Since a stopper nut is used, turn the bolt.

   HINT: 

   Insert the bolt with the threaded end facing the outside of the vehicle.

4. Install the rear suspension support and rear shock absorber cushion retainer.
5. While holding the piston rod, install a new nut (lower nut) to the specified standard.

   Standard (A)

   15 to 18 mm (0.591 to 0.709 in.)

6. Install a new nut (upper nut) onto the lower nut.
7. Hold the lower nut and tighten the upper nut against it.

   Torque: 25 N*m (250 kgf*cm, 18 ft.*lbf) 

1. Engage the 2 guides and 2 claws to install the rear absorber cap.

(Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 )

Torque: 103 N*m (1050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf) 

1. Lower the vehicle.
2. Bounce the vehicle up and down several times to stabilize the suspension.

1. Fully tighten the rear shock absorber assembly (lower side) with the bolt.

   Torque: 49 N*m (500 kgf*cm, 36 ft.*lbf) 

   NOTE:

   Since a stopper nut is used, turn the bolt.
