Installation [06/2017 - ]: Procedure

1. Install the battery insulator to the auxiliary battery.
2. Install the auxiliary battery to the battery carrier sub-assembly.
3. Install the No. 2 battery clamp to the battery carrier sub-assembly with bolt as shown in the illustration.

   Torque: 15.1 N*m (154 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf)

4. Connect the battery hose to the auxiliary battery.
5. Connect the cable to the positive (+) auxiliary battery terminal and tighten the nut.

   Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf) 

6. Engage the 2 claws to close the battery terminal cap.

1. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal and tighten the nut.

   Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf) 

   NOTE:

   When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
