Steering Angle Sensor Communication Stop Mode [11/2015 - ]: Procedure
- CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (SPIRAL CABLE WITH SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY BRANCH LINE)
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
- Disconnect the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly (steering sensor) connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition G30-4 (CANH) - G30-3 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*a Front view of wire harness connector
(to Spiral Cable with Sensor Sub-assembly (Steering Sensor))
Result:
NG
REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINE OR CONNECTOR (SPIRAL CABLE WITH SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY (STEERING SENSOR))
Result:
OK
See step 2
