Navigation ECU Communication Stop Mode [11/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the G78 navigation receiver assembly connector.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Navigation receiver assembly)
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G78-9 (CANH) - G78-10 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINE OR CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY) 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Disconnect the G76 navigation receiver assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      (to Navigation receiver assembly)

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G76-7 (GND1) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω
    3. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G76-4 (+B1) - Body ground Ignition switch off 11 to 14 V
      G76-3 (ACC1) - Body ground Ignition switch ACC 11 to 14 V
      G78-1 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch ON (IG) 11 to 14 V

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BUS BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE TERMINAL)
