Certification ECU Communication Stop Mode [11/2015 - ]: Procedure
- CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY (CERTIFICATION ECU) BRANCH LINE)
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
- Disconnect the G87 smart key ECU assembly (certification ECU) connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition G87-14 (CANH) - G87-15 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*a Rear view of wire harness connector

REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINES OR CONNECTOR (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY (CERTIFICATION ECU))

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)
- Disconnect the G85 smart key ECU assembly (certification ECU) connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition G85-11 (E) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*a Rear view of wire harness connector
(to Smart Key ECU Assembly (Certification ECU)) - Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition G85-2 (+B) - Body ground Ignition switch off 11 to 14 V G87-5 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch ON (IG) 11 to 14 V
