Panoramic Moon Roof System does not Operate [02/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTC (MAIN BODY) 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [02/2014 - 11/2016] Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2016 - ]

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Clear DTCs 

    2. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [02/2014 - 11/2016] Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2016 - ]

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      DTCs B1273 and B2329 are not output.

      Result

    GO TO LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (Proceed to How to Proceed with Troubleshooting). Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [02/2014 - ]

  2. CHECK FOR DTC (SLIDING ROOF AND SLIDING SUNSHADE) 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [02/2014 - ]

      Body Electrical > Sliding Roof > Clear DTCs 

      Body Electrical > Sliding Sunshade > Clear DTCs 

    2. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [02/2014 - ]

      Body Electrical > Sliding Roof > Trouble Codes 

      Body Electrical > Sliding Sunshade > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      DTCs B2341 and B2344 are not output.

    GO TO DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [02/2014 - ]

  3. CHECK POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM 
    1. Check the power window control system operates normally.

      Refer to OPERATION CHECK [02/2014 - ]

  4. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (SLIDING ROOF) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Sliding Roof / Data List.
    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

      Body Electrical > Sliding Roof > Data List

  6. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the map light assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [02/2014 - ]

    2. Inspect the map light assembly.

      Refer to INSPECTION [02/2014 - ]

    REPLACE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [02/2014 - ]

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ROOF SUNSHADE ECU (SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR ASSEMBLY) - MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the T2 roof sunshade ECU (sliding roof drive gear assembly) connector.
    2. Disconnect the S1 map light assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      T2-7 (OPN) - S1-6 (OPN) Always Below 1 Ω
      T2-7 (OPN) or S1-6 (OPN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      T2-5 (CLS) - S1-5 (CLS) Always Below 1 Ω
      T2-5 (CLS) or S1-5 (CLS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      T2-2 (TILT) - S1-7 (VENT) Always Below 1 Ω
      T2-2 (TILT) or S1-7 (VENT) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      T2-6 (OPN) - S1-17 (OPN) Always Below 1 Ω
      T2-6 (OPN) or S1-17 (OPN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      T2-4 (CLS) - S1-16 (CLS) Always Below 1 Ω
      T2-4 (CLS) or S1-16 (CLS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      T2-12 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      S1-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    REPLACE ROOF SUNSHADE ECU (SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR ASSEMBLY). Refer to  REMOVAL [02/2014 - ]

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  8. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the map light assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [02/2014 - ]

    2. Inspect the map light assembly.

      Refer to INSPECTION [02/2014 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to

    Result:  2

    NG 

    REPLACE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [02/2014 - ]

  9. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SLIDING ROOF ECU (SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR ASSEMBLY) - MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the T1 sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear assembly) connector.
    2. Disconnect the S1 map light assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      T1-7 (OPN) - S1-6 (OPN) Always Below 1 Ω
      T1-7 (OPN) or S1-6 (OPN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      T1-5 (CLS) - S1-5 (CLS) Always Below 1 Ω
      T1-5 (CLS) or S1-5 (CLS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      T1-2 (TILT) - S1-7 (VENT) Always Below 1 Ω
      T1-2 (TILT) or S1-7 (VENT) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      T1-6 (OPN) - S1-17 (OPN) Always Below 1 Ω
      T1-6 (OPN) or S1-17 (OPN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      T1-4 (CLS) - S1-16 (CLS) Always Below 1 Ω
      T1-4 (CLS) or S1-16 (CLS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      T1-12 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      S1-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
