Removal [12/2013 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE REAR QUARTER PANEL MUDGUARD LH (w/ Mudguard) 

    See step  2

  2. REMOVE REAR QUARTER PANEL MUDGUARD RH (w/ Mudguard) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  3. DISCONNECT QUARTER PANEL WHEEL OPENING MOULDING LH 
    1. Apply protective tape around the quarter panel wheel opening moulding LH and rear bumper assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Protective Tape
    2. w/o Mudguard:

      1. Remove the 3 screws.
      2. Remove the 2 clips.
    3. w/ Mudguard:

      1. Remove the 2 screws.
      2. Remove the 2 clips.
    4. While pulling the rear bumper assembly, insert a finger between the rear bumper side seal LH and rear bumper assembly and disengage the 4 claws by pushing the area shown in the illustration.

      *1 Quarter Panel Wheel Opening Moulding LH *2 Rear Bumper Assembly
      *3 Rear Bumper Side Seal LH - -
      *a Push - -
      NOTE:

      To avoid damaging the claws, do not forcibly pull the quarter panel wheel opening moulding LH.

      HINT: 

      Disengage the claws in the order shown in the illustration.

    5. Disengage the 2 clips to disconnect the quarter panel wheel opening moulding LH from the rear bumper assembly.
  4. DISCONNECT QUARTER PANEL WHEEL OPENING MOULDING RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  5. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 4 screws.

    2. Remove the 6 clips.

    3. Disengage the 7 claws as shown in the illustration.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    4. w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System:
      1. Disconnect the connector.
    5. Remove the rear bumper assembly.
