Operation Check [12/2013 - ]

  1. INSPECT INTERIOR LIGHT CONTROL OPERATION 
    NOTE:

    Perform this inspection with the customize parameters at the default settings.

    The interior light control illuminates the lights below.

    • Engine Switch Illumination*1
    • Transponder Key Coil (Ignition Key Cylinder Light)*2
    • Map Light Assembly
    • Spot Light Assembly LH and RH (for Front Side)
    • Spot Light Assembly LH and RH (for Rear Side)
      • *1: w/ Smart Key System
      • *2: w/o Smart Key System
    1. The operations and conditions of this control are described below.
      Operation Condition
      Fade in and illuminate constantly Any door is opened when all doors are closed.
      Illuminate for 15 seconds, and then fade out When any of the following conditions is met, the interior lights illuminate for 15 seconds, and then fade out:
      • The key enters any actuation area around the doors when the ignition switch is off and all doors are closed.*1, *2
      • Any door is unlocked when the ignition switch is off with all doors closed and locked.
      • The ignition switch is turned from ON or ACC to off when all doors are closed.
      • All doors are closed after any door is opened when the ignition switch is off.
      Fade out immediately When any of the following conditions is met, the interior lights fade out immediately:
      • The ignition switch is turned from off to ACC when all doors are closed.
      • All doors are locked when the ignition switch is off, all doors are closed and any door is unlocked.
      • All doors are locked again when all doors are already closed and locked.
      • *1: When the lights are on, if the key leaves all of the actuation areas around the doors, after approximately 3 seconds, the lights fade out.
      • *2: w/ Smart Key System
  2. INSPECT AMBIENT LIGHT CONTROL OPERATION (w/ Ambient Light) 
    NOTE:

    Perform this inspection with the customize parameters at the default settings.

    The ambient light control illuminates the following lights.

    • Front Door Trim Board Sub-assembly LH and RH (Front Door Ambient Light LH and RH)
    • Rear Door Trim Board Sub-assembly LH and RH (Rear Door Ambient Light LH and RH)
    • No. 1 Interior Illumination Light Assembly (Driver Side and Passenger Side)
    1. The operations and conditions of this control are described below.
      Operation Condition
      Fade in and illuminate constantly When either of the following conditions is met, the lights fade in:
      • Any door is opened when all doors are closed.
      • The ignition switch is turned from off to ON.
      Illuminate for 15 seconds, and then fade out When all of the following conditions are met, the lights illuminate for 15 seconds and then fade out:
      • Any door is unlocked when the ignition switch is off, all doors are closed and all doors are locked.
      • The ignition switch is turned from ON to ACC or off when all doors are closed.
      • All doors are closed when any door is opened and the ignition switch is off.
      Fade out immediately All doors are locked when the ignition switch is off.
      Dim The ignition switch is ON and the shift lever is moved out of P.
  3. INSPECT BATTERY SAVING CONTROL OPERATION 
    NOTE:

    Perform this inspection with the customize parameters at the default settings.

    The lights controlled by the battery saving control are as follows:

    • Engine Switch Illumination*1
    • Transponder Key Coil (Ignition Key Cylinder Light)*2
    • Map Light Assembly
    • Spot Light Assembly LH and RH (for Front Side)
    • Spot Light Assembly LH and RH (for Rear Side)
    • No. 1 Room Light Assembly
    • Visor Assembly LH and RH (Vanity Light LH and RH)
    • Courtesy Light Assembly LH and RH
      • *1: w/ Smart Key System
      • *2: w/o Smart Key System
    1. The operation and conditions of this control are described below.
      Operation Condition
      Battery saving When 20 minutes elapse after the ignition switch is turned from ON or ACC to off and the lights that operate remain on, the lights are turned off.
      HINT: 
      Battery saving control is canceled when any of the following operations is performed before the lights are turned off by the battery saving control. After the operation is performed, the lights remain on for another 20 minutes and then the lights are turned off.
      • The ignition switch is turned ON or ACC.
      • Any door is opened and closed.
      • Any door is unlocked.
      • The key enters any exterior actuation area.*
