DTC P0013-13: Camshaft Position "B" - Actuator Bank 1 Circuit Open; DTC P0023-13: Camshaft Position "B" - Actuator Bank 2 Circuit Open [11/2016 - ]: Procedure

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Clear the DTC after recording the freeze frame data and DTC.

   Powertrain > Engine > Clear DTCs 

5. Turn the ignition switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.
6. Start the engine.
7. Turn the Techstream on.
8. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.
9. Read the DTCs.

   Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes 

   Result	Proceed to
   DTC P0013-13 or P0023-13 is output	A
   DTCs are not output	B

Result: 

B 

CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS.

1. Inspect the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly (for exhaust camshaft).

   Refer to INSPECTION [11/2016 - ]

   Proceed to

   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPLACE CAM TIMING OIL CONTROL SOLENOID ASSEMBLY (FOR EXHAUST CAMSHAFT). 

Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2016 - ] 

Result: 

OK

1. Disconnect the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly (for exhaust camshaft) connector.
2. Disconnect the ECM connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   C80-1 - C1-4 (OE1+)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   C80-2 - C1-5 (OE1-)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   C79-1 - C1-2 (OE2+)	Always	Below 1 Ω

   C80-1 or C1-4 (OE1+) - Body ground and other terminals	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   C80-2 or C1-5 (OE1-) - Body ground and other terminals	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   C79-1 or C1-2 (OE2+) - Body ground and other terminals	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   C79-2 or C1-3 (OE2-) - Body ground and other terminals	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

REPLACE ECM.
