DTC P2118: Throttle Actuator Control Motor Current Range / Performance [12/2013 - 11/2016]: Procedure

- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (+BM VOLTAGE)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / Gas Throttle / +BM Voltage.
Powertrain > Engine > Data List
Tester Display +BM Voltage - Read the value displayed on the Techstream.
Result Proceed to Less than 4 V A 11 to 14 V B

CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS.

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - BATTERY, BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition C1-60 (+BM) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V - Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition C1-59 (ME01) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω C1-49 (E1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω Proceed to OK NG
Result:
OK
REPLACE ECM.

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
