Removal [11/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM 

    See step  1

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE COVER PROTECTOR 
    1. Remove the clip, bolt, 3 screws and No. 1 luggage compartment side cover protector.

      Bolt
      Screw
  3. DISCONNECT NO. 2 AIR CONDITIONING ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt and rotate the hook connector.

    2. Disconnect the suction tube.

    3. Remove the O-ring from the suction tube.
      NOTE:

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

    4. Disconnect the liquid tube.

    5. Remove the O-ring from the liquid tube.
      NOTE:

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

    6. Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the inlet heater water hose.

      NOTE:
      • Do not apply excessive force to the inlet heater water hose.
      • Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.
    7. Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the outlet heater water hose.

      NOTE:
      • Do not apply excessive force to the outlet heater water hose.
      • Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.
  4. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  5. REMOVE NO. 3 DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  6. REMOVE DECK SIDE TRIM BOX LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  7. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  8. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  9. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2013 - 11/2016] , or refer to REMOVAL [11/2016 - ]

  10. REMOVE REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  11. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  12. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  13. REMOVE FRONT DECK SIDE TRIM COVER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 27 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 27

  14. DISCONNECT REAR NO. 1 SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  15. REMOVE NO. 1 DECK SIDE TRIM COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 40 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 40

  16. DISCONNECT REAR NO. 2 SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  17. REMOVE COOLER (NO. 2 ROOM TEMP. SENSOR) THERMISTOR (w/ Rear Automatic Air Conditioning System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  18. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  19. REMOVE DECK TRIM POCKET COVER 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 32 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 32

  20. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 33 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 33

  21. REMOVE ROPE HOOK 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 34 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 34

  22. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 49 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 49

  23. REMOVE INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 37 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 37

  24. REMOVE COOLER PLATE 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the cooler plate.

  25. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER AIR DUCT 
    1. Remove the No. 1 cooler air duct.

  26. REMOVE REAR NO. 5 AIR DUCT 
    1. Remove the 2 clips and rear No. 5 air duct.

  27. REMOVE REAR COOLING UNIT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect each connector.

    2. Disengage each clamp.
    3. Disconnect the drain cooler hose.

    4. Remove the 4 bolts.
    5. Disengage the guide and remove the rear cooling unit assembly.
