On-Vehicle Inspection [12/2013 - 11/2016]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Disconnect the X3 and X4 rear light assembly LH connectors.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      X3-1 (B) - X3-2 (E) Light control switch off Below 1 V
      Light control switch in tail position 11 to 14 V
      X4-1 (B) - X4-2 (E) Ignition switch ON, shift lever not in R Below 1 V
      Ignition switch ON, shift lever in R 11 to 14 V

      If the result is not as specified, repair or replace wire harness or connector.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Rear Light Assembly LH)
  2. INSPECT REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Disconnect the X27 and X28 rear light assembly RH connectors.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      X27-1 (B) - X27-2 (E) Light control switch off Below 1 V
      Light control switch in tail position 11 to 14 V
      X28-1 (B) - X28-2 (E) Ignition switch ON, shift lever not in R Below 1 V
      Ignition switch ON, shift lever in R 11 to 14 V

      If the result is not as specified, repair or replace wire harness or connector.
