Removal [09/2019 - 10/2020]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [09/2019 - 03/2020] , or refer to PRECAUTION [03/2020 - ]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    For A25A-FKS:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

    For 2GR-FKS:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

    WARNING:
    • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
    • If an airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious injury.

  3. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Seat Type) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [06/2017 - 10/2020]

  4. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Fold Down Seat Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  5. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK (for Fold Down Seat Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  6. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH (for Fold Down Seat Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  7. REMOVE REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH (for Fold Down Seat Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  8. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH (for Fold Down Seat Type) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  9. REMOVE REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH (for Fold Down Seat Type) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  10. REMOVE INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [09/2019 - 03/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [03/2020 - 10/2020]

  11. REMOVE INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  12. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH 

    See step  12

  13. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  14. REMOVE CENTER STOP LIGHT SET 

    Refer to REMOVAL [03/2017 - ]

  15. REMOVE REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT HOLE COVER 

    See step  15

  16. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY 

    See step  16

  17. REMOVE CHILD RESTRAINT SEAT TETHER ANCHOR BRACKET 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for all child restraint seat tether anchor brackets.

    1. Remove the bolt.

    2. Disengage the guide to remove the child restraint seat tether anchor bracket.
