Removal [06/2017 - 09/2019]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION WARNING:
Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing.

NOTE:After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
for A25A-FKS: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [06/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [08/2018 - 10/2020]
for 2GR-FKS: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
WARNING:Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTE:When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

- DISCONNECT REAR CENTER SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Fold Down Seat Type)
for TMC Made: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
- REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
for TMC Made Fold Down Seat Type: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
for TMMK Made Fold Down Seat Type: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7
for TMMK Made Fixed Seat Type: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
- REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK
for Fold Down Seat Type: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8
for Fixed Seat Type: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
- DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP (for Fold Down Seat Type)
HINT:
Disconnect the rear door opening trim weatherstrip to the extent that allows the removal of the rear side seatback assembly.
- REMOVE REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (for Fold Down Seat Type)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12
- REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Seat Type)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5
- REMOVE SIDE NO. 2 AIRBAG SENSOR
- Check that the ignition switch is off.
- Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Disconnect the connector from the side No. 2 airbag sensor.NOTE:
When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
- Push down the white housing lock and slide the yellow CPA. (At this time, the connector cannot be disconnected yet.)
*a White Housing Lock *b Yellow CPA Push in this Direction Slide in this Direction - Push down the white housing lock again and disconnect the connector.NOTE:
Do not push down the part (A) shown in the illustration when disconnecting the connector.
- Push down the white housing lock and slide the yellow CPA. (At this time, the connector cannot be disconnected yet.)
- Remove the bolt and disengage the claw to remove the side No. 2 airbag sensor.
- Check that the position of the white housing lock is as shown in the illustration.
