The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during camshaft timing gear bolt removal/installation are shown below.

Replacement of ECM
(If possible, read the transaxle compensation code from the previous ECM)
  1. Reset memory*1
  2. Transfer transaxle compensation code
  3. Perform road test to allow ECM to learn
  • Large shift shock
  • Deterioration of fuel efficiency
Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2018 - ] for Initialization
Refer to REGISTRATION [06/2017 - ] for Registration
Replacement of ECM
(If impossible, read the transaxle compensation code from the previous ECM)
  1. Reset memory*1
  2. Reset transaxle compensation code
  3. Perform road test to allow ECM to learn
For UA80E 
  1. Automatic transaxle fluid
ATF thermal degradation estimate reset The value of the Data List item "ATF Thermal Degradation Estimate" is not estimated correctly. Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2018 - ]
Replacement of ECM Code registration
  • Wireless door lock control system
  • Smart key system (for Entry Function)
  • Smart key system (for Start Function)
Refer to REGISTRATION [08/2022 - ]
Suspension, tires, etc.
(The vehicle height changes because of suspension or tire replacement)
Rear television camera assembly optical axis (Back camera position setting) Parking assist monitor system Refer to INITIALIZATION [03/2017 - ] for Initialization

Suspension, tires, etc.
(The vehicle height changes because of suspension or tire replacement)
  • Television camera controller initialization
  • Adjust steering angle
  • Rear television camera assembly optical axis (Back camera position setting)
Front wheel alignment adjustment
  • Perform "Reset Memory"
  • Perform acceleration sensor zero point calibration and system information memorization
  • VSC disabled or malfunctioning
  • DTCs are output
  • Slip indicator light illuminated
  • ABS warning light illuminated

*1: When the ECM is replaced with a new one, reset memory is unnecessary.
