The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during automatic transaxle assembly removal/installation are shown below.

  1. Reset memory
  2. Input transaxle compensation code into ECM
  3. Perform road test to allow ECM to learn
  • Large shift shock
  • Deterioration of fuel efficiency

for Registration
Refer to REGISTRATION [06/2017 - ]
Replacement of ECM
(If possible, read the transaxle compensation code from the previous ECM)
  1. Reset memory*1
  2. Transfer transaxle compensation code
  3. Perform road test to allow ECM to learn
Replacement of ECM
(If impossible, read the transaxle compensation code from the previous ECM)
  1. Reset memory*1
  2. Reset transaxle compensation code
  3. Perform road test to allow ECM to learn
Replacement of ECM Code registration
  • Wireless door lock control system
  • Smart key system (for Entry Function)
  • Smart key system (for Start Function)
  • Steering lock function

Replacement of automatic transaxle fluid ATF thermal degradation estimate reset The value of the Data List item "ATF Thermal Degradation Estimate" is not estimated correctly. Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2018 - ]

  • Television camera controller initialization
  • Adjust steering angle
  • Rear television camera assembly optical axis (Back camera position setting)
Front wheel alignment adjustment
  • Perform "Reset Memory"
  • Perform acceleration sensor zero point calibration and system information memorization
  • VSC disabled or malfunctioning
  • DTCs are output
  • Slip indicator light illuminated
  • ABS warning light illuminated
Refer to CALIBRATION [10/2020 - 08/2021] , or refer to CALIBRATION [08/2021 - ]

*1: When the ECM is replaced with a new one, reset memory is unnecessary.

WARNING:
  • The engine assembly with transaxle is very heavy. Be sure to follow the procedure described in the repair information, or the engine lifter may suddenly drop or the engine assembly with transaxle may fall off the engine lifter.

  • To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust manifold or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.

  • The automatic transaxle assembly is very heavy. Be sure to follow the procedure described in the repair information, or the transmission jack may suddenly drop.
