    HINT:

Make sure that the connector is properly connected. If it is not, securely connect it and check for DTCs again.

    1. Disconnect the VVT sensor (for exhaust camshaft) connector.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      C20-3 (VC2) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 4.5 to 5.5 V
      C21-3 (VC2) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 4.5 to 5.5 V
      C20-1 (EX+) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 3.0 to 5.0 V
      C21-1 (EX+) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 3.0 to 5.0 V
    4. Turn the engine switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.
    5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      C20-3 (VC2) - C20-1 (EX+) Engine switch off 1.425 to 1.575 kΩ
