Caution / Notice / Hint

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during front crankshaft oil seal removal/installation are shown below.

Replacement of automatic transaxle assembly
  1. Reset memory
  2. Input transaxle compensation code into ECM
  3. Perform road test to allow ECM to learn
  • Large shift shock
  • Deterioration of fuel efficiency

Replacement of ECM
(If possible, read the transaxle compensation code from the previous ECM)
  1. Reset memory*3
  2. Transfer transaxle compensation code
  3. Perform road test to allow ECM to learn
Replacement of ECM
(If impossible, read the transaxle compensation code from the previous ECM)
  1. Reset memory*3
  2. Reset transaxle compensation code
  3. Perform road test to allow ECM to learn
Replacement of ECM*1 Code registration (Smart key System (for Start Function))
  • Wireless door lock control system
  • Smart key system (for Entry Function)
  • Smart key system (for Start Function)
  • Steering lock function

Replacement of ECM*2 Code registration (Immobilizer system (w/o Smart Key System))
  • Wireless door lock control system
  • Engine start

Suspension, tires, etc.
(The vehicle height changes because of suspension or tire replacement)
Rear television camera assembly optical axis (Back camera position setting) Parking assist monitor system for Initialization: Refer to INITIALIZATION [03/2017 - ]

Front wheel alignment adjustment Perform system variant learning and acceleration sensor zero point calibration.
  • VSC disabled or malfunctioning

  3. *3: When the ECM is replaced with a new one, reset memory is unnecessary.
NOTE:

This procedure includes the removal of small-head bolts. Refer to Small-Head Bolts of Basic Repair Hint to identify the small-head bolts.
