Installation [03/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT 
    1. Install the 2 lower radiator supports to the radiator assembly.
  2. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION 
    1. Install the 2 radiator support cushions to the radiator assembly.
  3. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 guides.
    2. Engage the 2 claws to install the fan shroud assembly to the radiator assembly.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the radiator assembly when installing the fan shroud assembly.

    3. Install the radiator assembly with the fan shroud assembly to the vehicle body.
      NOTE:

      Do not apply excessive force to the cooler condenser assembly or pipe when installing the radiator assembly with the fan shroud assembly.

    4. Engage the wire harness clamp.

      *a Lock Lever
    5. Connect the cooling fan motor connector and push down the lock lever to engage the claw as shown in the illustration.
      NOTE:
      • When connecting the cooling fan motor connector, make sure that the connecting parts of the cooling fan motor connector are free of dirt, water or other foreign matter.
      • Be sure to securely connect the cooling fan motor connector.
    6. Engage the 2 guides.
    7. Engage the 2 claws to install the cooler condenser assembly to the radiator assembly.
      NOTE:

      Make sure not to damage the cooler condenser assembly when installing the radiator assembly.

  4. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Connect the No. 2 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
  5. CONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Connect the No. 1 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
    2. Engage the clamp to connect the No. 1 radiator hose to the fan shroud assembly.
  6. CONNECT NO. 6 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Connect the No. 6 water by-pass hose to the filler neck.
  7. CONNECT NO. 5 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Connect the No. 5 water by-pass hose to the filler neck and slide the clip to secure it.
  8. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the upper radiator support sub-assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 12.5 N*m (127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf) 

    2. Engage the clamp to connect the hood lock control cable assembly to the upper radiator support sub-assembly.
  9. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE RH 
    1. Engage the guide and claw.
    2. Install the No. 1 radiator air guide RH with the clip.
  10. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE LH 
    1. Engage the guide and claw.
    2. Install the No. 1 radiator air guide LH with the front radiator side air guide plate LH with the clip.
  11. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR MOUNTING BRACKET 
    1. Install the 2 upper radiator mounting brackets with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

      Torque: 12.5 N*m (127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf) 

    2. Connect the 2 horn connectors.
  12. INSTALL INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 45 [03/2017 - 06/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 45 [06/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 45 [08/2018 - 03/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 49 [03/2020 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 49 [10/2020 - ]

  13. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [03/2017 - 09/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [09/2019 - ]

  14. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [03/2017 - 06/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [06/2017 - 09/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [09/2019 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [10/2020 - ]

  15. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [03/2017 - 06/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [06/2017 - 09/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [09/2019 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [10/2020 - ]

  16. INSTALL NO. 2 FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [03/2017 - 06/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [06/2017 - 09/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [09/2019 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [10/2020 - ]

  17. INSTALL THERMISTOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [03/2017 - ]

  18. INSTALL HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [03/2017 - 06/2017] , or refer to INSTALLATION [06/2017 - ]

  19. ADD ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [03/2017 - 06/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [06/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [08/2018 - ]

  20. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [03/2017 - 06/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [06/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [08/2018 - ]

  21. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 67 [03/2017 - 06/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 67 [06/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 67 [08/2018 - 03/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 72 [03/2020 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 72 [10/2020 - ]

  22. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 68 [03/2017 - 06/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 68 [06/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 68 [08/2018 - 03/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 73 [03/2020 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 73 [10/2020 - ]

  23. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 69 [03/2017 - 06/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 69 [06/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 69 [08/2018 - 03/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 74 [03/2020 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 74 [10/2020 - ]

  24. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 70 [03/2017 - 06/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 70 [06/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 70 [08/2018 - 03/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 75 [03/2020 - 10/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 75 [10/2020 - ]
