Tire Pressure Monitor ECU Communication Stop Mode [10/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the J26 tire pressure warning ECU and receiver connector.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Tire Pressure Warning ECU and Receiver)
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J26-9 (CANH) - J26-10 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINES OR CONNECTOR (TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER) 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J26-12 (GND) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω

      (to Tire Pressure Warning ECU and Receiver)
    2. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J26-1 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

      (to Tire Pressure Warning ECU and Receiver)

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2014 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)
